Ownership signature on inside front cover dated 1938, inscribed and signed by Rudolf Kayser on the half-title in German and English. Blue cloth with gilt lettering on the spine and front cover. Wear at the head and foot of the spine, otherwise a good bright copy printed on good paper. Rudolf Kayser (1889 – 1964) was a German literary critic and editor for S. Fischer in Berlin.
