Hinges worn, but secure. Small crack at the foot of the back cover. Gold-tooled morocco leather book plate of Henry W. Poor (1844 – 1915), publisher of Poor’s Railway Manual, of H.V. and H.W. Poor, the predecessor firm to Standard & Poor’s. Mr. Poor’s library was sold in 1908. A very fine copy of this illustrated first edition from the famous library of one of the greatest American book collectors of the Gilded Age. Prior bookseller’s description pasted to front fly-leaf.
