Strauss, Richard (1864 – 1949) Postcard Photo Signed. A half-length photograph from the studio of Viennese photographer Barakovich, signed “Dr. Richard Strauss” in blue ink below the printed identity of the famous composer of Der Rosenkavalier. The postcard is addressed to Hans Kohn in Vienna and postmarked September 25, [19]39. The image is earlier than the postmark. Slightly worn, there are traces of tape and the former mount to the verso, slight chip to the upper right-hand corner. Very good condition overall.
