Published by Mildred Jensen Loomis and Ralph Borsodi at Lane’s End Homestead, Brookville, Ohio, 1945, 1946, 1947, 1948; from 1949, at Nyack Turnpike, Suffern, New York, with Loomis and Borsodi listed as editors. An incomplete run, 138 issues are offered here. A scarce publication, OCLC lists one volume for 1949 at Harvard in the Loeb Library of the School of Design; other copies are found at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Western Reserve and at the Jewish Theological Seminary.
Mildred Loomis (1900 – 1986) is considered by some to be the ‘Grand-Mother of the Counter Culture.’ She moved to the School for Living when it was founded by Ralph Borsodi in 1936. She relocated The School for Living to Brookville Ohio in 1945 — to the homestead she and her husband, John Loomis started. The newspaper for The School for Living eventually evolved into The Green Revolution.

Note: only one issue appeared in March dated March 15, a 12- page issue; and the June 15 issue has a postage due 2 cents sticker on the last page, this returned copy was addressed to Edward Marshall. The newspaper’s name is printed upside down on p. 5 of the June 15 issue. Very good.

Very good.

Vols. VII & VIII in one binding, Nos. 19 – 24 only comprise Vol. VII, and Nos. 1 – 13; for 1952, with a gap between issue 13 July 1, 1952, and issue 14, September, 1952, with only one issue published monthly from September through December, nos. 14 – 17. Very good.

Vol. VII, no. 24, Vol. VIII, no. 4 is addressed to Laurence Labadie at 2306 Buchanan, Detroit, Michigan. Vol. VIII, no. 15, July 1952 printed as “a sample copy.” Vol IX, no. 3 is addressed to Laurence Labadie at 2306 Buchanan, Detroit, Michigan. The May 1954 issue has the incorrect volume number “XI”. A separate home-made wrapper of acidic paper, the paper used for years 1951 – 54 was very good with rag content. The newspapers are in very good to fine condition.
