Matted on five-inch wide archival mat board. Surface of the image is clean and free of scratching. One paper crease at the top, not affecting image and a minor expertly-mended tear on right-hand side, not affecting image. A fine, signed large print of Lotte Jacobi’s legendary image of Germany’s great writer, taken by her of him while they both were in political exile from German National Socialism, in Princeton, New Jersey, 1936, a later print.
