A souvenir program with many pictures of the dancers then in the company on that tour to Japan in 1969 to Tokyo, Osaka, Niigata, Toyama, Matsue, FuKuoka, Kyoto. The text is in English and Japanese, with individual biographies for the leading members of the company. Makarova has a biography, but Barishnikov does not, as he was still working his way up. An ownership signature dated August 29, 1969 on the inside front cover is in ink. Sold with an insert leaf, a cast list for performances in Tokyo, August 12 – 15 for “The Sleeping Beauty,” and for “The Swan Lake,” August 19, 21, 22, 23, 1969. Printed on both sides in English and Japanese. The cast list has performances by Natalia Makarova as Princess Aurora and as Princess Florina; and, Mikhail Barishnikov as the Blue Bird.

Tokyo and Osaka: Under the Auspices of the Mainichi Shimbun & New Artists Association. 59 pages not numbered, red cloth over hard paper cover with gilt-stamped lettering and company insignia on the front cover. 29 cm x 22 cm. Sold with an insert leaf, a cast list for performances in Tokyo, August 12 – 15 for “The Sleeping Beauty,” and for “The Swan Lake,” August 19, 21, 22, 23, 1969. Printed on both sides in English and Japanese. The cast list has performances by Natalia Makarova as Princess Aurora and as Princess Florina; and, Mikhail Barishnikov as the Blue Bird.
