Bronze medal of award issued by the United States Mint and the United States George Washington Bicentennial Commission in 1932 to commemorate the birth bicentennial of George Washington, the First President of the United States. The front shows George Washington looking left in profile, and on the obverse the motto, “Proclaim Liberty Throughout All the Land,” with Liberty holding a torch in her right hand and a  sword in its sheath in her left hand, beneath a canopy of thirteen stars to commemorate the first Thirteen United States. In the original blue paper presentation box, now worn, lid detached. 7.6 cm, 3 in in diameter. Signed under Washington’s portrait, “Laura Gardin Fraser Sculptor.” Fine condition.
