No date, circa 1910.

An original vintage silver gelatin photograph of two young Jewish men posing for their Bar Mitzvah portrait, one standing and one seated, both wearing knickers, spectacular knitted knee socks, a tallit, and a cap, while each holds a prayer book, each marking a place in the book with his finger. 21 cm x 14.5 cm. No date, circa 1910. The Paradise Studio was in Brooklyn, New York, at 339 New Lots Avenue. The photographer’s name, K. Kashtan, and studio name are printed on the mounting. Condition fair.
