Bound in original publisher’s brown cloth, now worn, with a repaired spine, front hinge cracked, with gilt title on the front cover. Plate 5 in Demonology is loose. Occasional foxing, heavier on the last plate. A presentation inscription in ink: “Miss Gladys Mendum To you, a happy New Year and all, / that Heaven Can Send, / Long life, long youth, good health, / pleasure and a friend, / truely [sic] yours. / J. A. Mendum 1898.”
