[Forrester, Alfred Henry, aka “Alfred Crowquill”], Pictures Picked from the Pickwick Papers by Alfred Crowquill. [London: Ackermann & Co., 96 Strand, 1837?] Forty lithographs (etchings on stone), comprising nearly two hundred subjects. Originally issued in ten parts from May 1 to November 9, 1837.  Original front cover bound in. It is signed, as is the first sheet of the first part, “The Pickwickians.” Only the first part was signed. See: Frederic G. Kitton, Dickens and His Illustrators. All forty un-paginated sheets bound in twentieth century marbled boards with a green calf spine. The front cover to the first set has been conserved, mounted on good paper prior to binding. Generally fine,  hand-colored.
