Ward, Charles William (1900 – 1962). Untitled Etching, Image: 5 cm x 6.5 cm; sheet: 7.5 cm x 9 cm. Sepia-toned, a close-up image of an androgynous face under a broad-brimmed hat. Signed in pencil, “Charles Ward.” No edition number, nor date. Born in Carversville, Pennsylvania, Charles Ward lived and worked most of his life in Pennsylvania, where he returned after studies in Europe. Traces of mounting adhesion on the back top edge, otherwise fine condition.
