Billhead Receipt. Rahway Wheel, Spoke & Carriage Spring Works, Rahway, N. J. Bought of I. & J. Laforge, Manufacturers of Wheels, Spokes & Carriage Springs, Hamilton Street. With a vignette image of the factory at the top left of the billhead, this lithographed billhead receipt form was used on May 3, 1884, and it was made out to Mess. Fitzgibbon & Crisp for one set of 1 3/8 Pat Wheels “B” for $17.00 with a 20% discount for a total sale of $12.75. Some wear, a spindle perforation and the paper is aging, 12 cm x 21 cm. This lined form was trimmed, as the extra space was not needed for a single item purchase. Ink annotation on the verso.
