Description
[Beckwith Player Piano] Sears, Roebuck and Co., Chicago. The Operation and Care of the Beckwith Player Piano. [1919?] Paper-bound pamphlet, 22 cm. 20 pages. The Beckwith Piano was made by a company set up by Sears for sale only by Sears as an exclusive product. This owner’s manual was also prepared by Sears, Roebuck and Company to instruct owners of the Beckwith Player Piano on the correct use and maintenance of their instrument. Illustrated throughout. Inside back cover advertisements are for products used to maintain the complex mechanical mechanism. The player piano reached its heyday before the radio became a household fixture. After 1929, for the reproduction of popular music, the radio reigned supreme. The player piano seemed to have vanished almost overnight. Condition fine.
